Girl powers activate?

Paula, Simon, and Randy won’t be the only judges on the upcoming season of American Idol. Fox has announced the the Kara DioGuardi, a “smart, sassy lady, and one of America’s most successful songwriters… will bring a new level of energy and excitement to the show.”

The Grammy-Nominated DioGuardi will come to Paula’s side adding “a lot more ‘girl power’ (to) the show.” Despite the newly activated ‘girl power(s),’ Paula has been quoted as voicing her “concerns.”

US Magazine is reporting Abdul said in a radio interview “she was excited” but added, “I am concerned about the audience and acceptance. Time will tell. We’ll see.”

People Magazine has quoted Abdul as saying,“It’s about time another girl joined, more girl power.”

DioGuardi and Abdul aren’t strangers according to People they activated their girl powers to write “Spinning Around,” Kylie Minogue.

Thoughts anyone - Is adding another judge to the mix a good move?

“I WANT TO WORK FOR DIDDY” - Oh my…

Right off the bat I have to say I’ve only seen the previews for the upcoming series, but Oh my… Why in the world would anyone ever want to go through this sort public test to work for Diddy? For those of us not in the know - his name transformations are worthy of a show of their own - Puff Diddy - Sean P Diddy Combs - P Diddy - and now just Diddy.

The show that first aired on Monday (Aug 4), featured 13 “hungry” applicants competing for the “job of a lifetime.” VH1 says the contestants will “be challenged emotionally, physically and mentally to earn the privilege of doing Diddy’s bidding, and just one lucky person will get the chance to call him - My Boss.”

Surely P Diddy has the connections to help anyone get ahead but if you have to compete in challenges that include “The Art of Multitasking” to “No Bitchassness Allowed,” all while being filmed… I might think again.

“I want to work for Diddy airs” on VH1 on Monday nights at 9:00 p.m.

Simon Cowell named Biggest Villain in Reality TV poll

AOL recently asked readers of its Web site to vote for the the best and worst in reality TV. So, after more than 1,300,000 votes - here are the some of the results.

In the category of “Biggest Villain,” Simon Cowell walked away with nearly 40% of the votes cast. No surprises here.

“Best Reality Show” top honors went to Fox’s “American Idol 3” followed by “Dancing with the Stars in a close second garnering 32% of the votes cast.

Worst Reality Show honors went to “Flavor of Love 3.” “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila 2” came in second - the show’s star also earned the top spot of “Skankiest Star.” Perhaps “Star” could have been left out of the title.

Other categories included “Biggest Trainwreck” with top honors going to The Hogans of “Hogan Knows Best” and the “Star You’d Hate to Be Stuck on an Elevator With” with Omarosa taking more than 44% of the votes cast.

The list of categories goes on and on if you’d like you read it you can find it at the link below… The real question remains - Do you agree with the voters or who would you vote for if you could?

“It just looks like a handi-wipe gone wrong” - Project Runway update

The first episode was full of all things that have made the “Project Runway” such a reality TV hit including the one-liners from Michael Kors. While his fashions often end up on the racks at TJ Maxx, his quips and quotes are one of the highlights of the show.

Tonight’s quote was one of my faves; “It just looks like a handi-wipe gone wrong.” Out of context… not so funny… but imagine a dress being paraded down the catwalk that is made of something that looks like a paper towel and you get the picture.

Did anyone else love that Austin Scarlet was a Judge… he was soooo toned down though… a little disappointing.

Do you have a Runway Fave moment or designer for this season… share ‘em here!
