District announces new football coach
Jason Krause will be the next person to lead the Middies, pending board approval Monday night.
Krause comes from Monroe, where he is pretty well-liked. He was up for another GMC job at Fairfield earlier this year, and there were many in the community who wanted Monroe to convince him to stay. A few people showed up at a board meeting earlier this month, after it was announced Krause was a finalist in Middletown, to ask the board to do what it takes to keep Krause at the Hornets’ helm.
Krause was selected from five finalists: Middie alum and Hilliard Davidson assistant coach and Teacher Chip Abele; Madison Head Coach and Teacher Joel Lauer; Kenton Head Coach and Athletic Director Mike Mauk; and former NFL player and Harmony Community School Head Coach David Pool.
The board will vote at its meeting Monday night.
Look for more information soon on Krause’s teaching position, salary and board reaction soon.
