Nurre told to be patient

Fans of Miami University product Tommy Nurre might be disappointed, but Dayton Dragons manager Todd Benzinger said Chris Richburg will remain the Dragons’ everyday first baseman.

“I talked to Tommy about staying patient,” Benzinger said. “Right now I can’t promise him anything.”

Nurre made a good first impression with a home run in his initial Dayton at-bat last week but has since gone 2-for-11.
