Singer punched during bar brawl

Maybe there was a reason Nelly use to wear a Band-Aid.

The “Hot in Herre” rapper was accidentally punched Friday while trying to break up a fight between his bodyguards and bouncers at an Miami club, the New York Post says.

The 35-year-old was readying to preform at a pre-Super Bowl party when he noticed things heating up between his bodyguards and club security, the newspaper says.

Nelly got in the middle of it and got popped.

Luckily things weren’t more serious. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time is sometimes a very, very, very bad thing.

Pete Townshend bares his belly at the Super Bowl

Yep, you should totally wear a T-shirt if you plan to whirl your arms around during the Super Bowl and you aren’t exactly into working your abs.

Pete Townshend, 64, proved as much during the Who’s half-time performance at the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 7.

The band’s show was thrilling to say the least, but maybe someone (anyone) should have told Pete to button those bottom buttons or at least wear a T-shirt.

Check out Pete’s belly below.

A source reportedly told the newspaper that Idol is the only show on TV that could compete with Sirius XM Radio for a contract with Stern, the highest paid radio personality on the air.

They think he could be even meaner than Cowell.

“They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him,” the source reportedly said.

O’Reilly and Stewart square off tonight in second part of interview

Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly squared off on “The O’Reilly Factor” Thursday night for the first time since 2004.

In the friendly fight, Stewart called O’Reilly the new voice of sanity on Fox News. He equated that to being the thinnest kid at fat camp.

“They have taken reasonable concerns about this president and this economy and turned it into full-fledged panic attack about the next coming of Chairman Mao,” Stewart said of Fox.

O’Reilly denied being a republic shill and defended his cohorts, calling Glenn Beck an everyman who simply spouts what he believes.

In a teaser for the second part of the interview set to air 8 p.m. tonight on FOX, O’Reilly hints that he will vet Stewart for vice president of the democratic party.

Brittany Murphy’s death ruled accidental

The cause of actress Brittany Murphy’s death has been revealed.

The 32-year-old died of pneumonia complicated by anemia and prescription drugs the LA coroner’s office has ruled, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

The death has been ruled accidental.

The coroner’s office declined to identify the type of drugs used, the newspaper said. It only indicated they were all prescription drugs.

There was speculation that the star of “Clueless” and “8 Mile” died of prescription drug use.

Her husband and mother told investigators she suffered flu-like symptoms prior to her death.

Her husband partly blamed Warner Brothers for Murphy’s December death and indicated he might sue.
